Andrea Norman Henry and John Anthony Norman Theatre Scholarship (Application due April 15)
The recipient of this scholarship must be a senior at Churubusco High School pursuing theater. Please see the Churubusco High School Guidance Office for an application.

Andrew C. Spencer Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15) Created in memory of Andrew Spencer, this scholarship is available to a senior male athlete from Churubusco High School pursuing a four-year baccalaureate degree at any college or university. The applicant must be a four-year participant in at least one organized high school sport, be in the top half of his class with at least a GPA of B or better, and be a member of a Christian church.

Anne Hamilton Whitley County Art Guild Scholarship (Application due April 15)
This scholarship was established in memory of Anne Hamilton. Anne organized the Whitley County Art Guild in 1972. The purpose of the Guild is to promote, encourage and develop existing and future educational, cultural and art-related interests within the community of Whitley County. This scholarship is available to Whitley County High School (Columbia City, Whitko, or Churubusco) or home-schooled seniors.

Ashley Morgan Storm Memorial Scholarship(Application due April 15)
This scholarship was established in memory of Ashley by her parents in 2012. Ashley was a 2012 graduate of Columbia City High School and accepted into the radiology program at the University of St. Francis. Applicants for this scholarship must be a graduating senior of Columbia City High School and planning on attending University of St. Francis with career aspirations in the medical field.

This scholarship is open to any graduating senior from Churubusco High School with a 2.5 GPA or better who plans to continue their education by attending college or vocational school.

Bernice Carver Scholarship of Hope (Application due April 15)
This scholarship is available to a senior, Whitley County resident graduating from Columbia City, Churubusco or Whitko High School, in the top third of their class with a 3.2 (or above) grade point average. Applicants should have aspirations for a career in the field of nursing, teaching or science and plan to attend an Indiana college or university (public or private) in pursuit of a 4-year baccalaureate degree.

Bob Brittain Memorial Scholarship/CCHS Alumni Scholarship (Application due April 15)
Named after a CCHS Alumni and admired teacher and speech and debate coach, this scholarship will go to a CCHS graduate who has been actively involved in several extra-curricular activities, major service activities, and have a grade point average reflective of respectable academic growth. This student will have a four year involvement in the activities listed below. This student will also be fully involved in high school classes during the final trimester of the senior year

Buesching-Tucker Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
Established in 2012, this scholarship honors Nancy Buesching Tucker and Robert Lewis Tucker. The scholarship goes to any Whitley County resident or any resident that graduated from a Whitley County high school that has aspirations of obtaining a degree in nursing or music. Applicants may be current students, non-traditional students, home-school students, or traditional graduating high school seniors.

The Charles White Nursury Scholarship is awarded annually to a graudating senior from a Whitley County school with at least a 3.0 GPA, who is intent upon becoming a Registered Nurse.

This scholarship goes to the class member ranked 63rd. If that class member isn't enrolled in college, it goes to the 62nd member and then 64th.

Friends and family established this scholarship in honor of beloved principal Dan Mullett. This scholarship is available to a Columbia City High School Senior, in the top half of their class. The applicant should be seeking a four-year baccalaureate degree in elementary education.

Donald L. and Irma Ferber Loan Scholarship (Application due June 1)
Established in the memory of Donald Ferber and his mother, this low-interest loan is made to Whitley County students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of college. Amount of loan varies and is renewable. The loan program is contigent on the repayment of previous loans and is at this time not available.

The H.A.N.D.S. Foundation gives a scholarship to a senior at Whitko High School, Columbia City High School, and Churubusco High School. The recipients must attend a four-year college and demonstrate scholarship, community service, and financial need.

JAKES is a youth organization that is part of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation. The recipient of this scholarship must be a Whitley County senior pursuing a degree in conservation.

Kenny Beck "Changes in Latitude" Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
This scholarship is available to a graduating senior from Columbia City High School who intends to attain a degree from Purdue University. Applicants should have a 2.5 or better grade point average.

Richard "Kit" Redman Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
This scholarship was established in memory of Kit Redman by Kit's family and friends. Kit was the Captain of the 1966-1967 undefeated Columbia City Joint High School football team. This scholarship is available to a Columbia City High School graduating senior that is or was on the CCHS high school football team and has aspirations of achieving any postsecondary education may apply. No application required. Chosen by the head coach of the Columbia City High School football team.

This scholarship is available to a senior, Whitley County resident graduating from Columbia City High School, Churubusco High School or Whitko High School, who is legally blind according to federal guidelines.

Lawrence and Freida Bunnell Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
This scholarship is available to a graduating senior who has attended Columbia City High School his/her final year and who is interested in attending an Indiana college or university (public or private) in pursuit of a 4-year baccalaureate degree. A maximum scholarship of $5,000 may be granted along with possible numerous scholarships of lesser amounts. Applicants should be in the top 50% of their class and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Lilly Endowment, Inc. Community Scholarship 2015 Deadline is January 9, 2015
This Scholarship was established in 1998 by Lilly Endowment Inc. to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana. The scholarship covers full tuition and $800 per year for books and equipment for four years. To qualify you must meet the following:

This scholarship is available to a Whitley County resident planning to attend a college or accredited art school with aspirations of obtaining a Bachelors or Associates degree in an art-related field.

Megan Christine Young Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
Established in 2009, this scholarship honors Megan Christine Young, a charismastic young woman who was beloved by her family and friends and who touched many lives and hearts in her community. The award will be presented to a female student graduating from Churubusco High School and planning to continue her education in pursuit of a Bachelors or Associates Degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in athletics, remembering that Megan had a special passion for volleyball.

The Whitley County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that they will be partnering with Questa Foundation for Education. This progam will allow students residing in Whitley County the ability to borrow $20,000 for four years, and in some instances, only having to pay back $5,000. This scholarship is for any senior Columbia City High School student that will be attending a college or university in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. The recipient will be chosen based on academic standards and financial need. This scholarship is renewable for four years. After each four years, a new recipient will be chosen.

The Robert & Grace Karst R.N. Scholarship is awarded annually to a Whitley County resident with at least a 3.0 G.P.A., who is intent upon becoming a Registered Nurse, and who will be attending an Indiana College or University.

Robert Hood Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
The Robert Hood Memorial Scholarship goes to an outstanding senior from the instrumental music department at Columbia City High School. The student must have been a four-year band member and plan to major in instrumental music at college. The recipient must have a C+ average in all classes. If no student meets the criteria, any student meeting other requirements may be selected. The Music Department at Columbia City High School will meet and vote on recipient.

The Russ Fahl Family Athletic Scholarship (Application due April 15)
The Russ Fahl Athletic Scholarship was established to benefit a Columbia City High School athlete who will be graduating this spring and plans to pursue either a two or four-year degree at an accredited technical school or university. The scholarship was created to reflect Mr. Fahl’s steadfast belief in the importance of adhering to strong work ethic and embracing the spirit of competition.

Senator Harold "Potch" Wheeler Memorial Scholarship (Application due April 15)
This living monument was created to honor Harold "Potch" Wheeler, a beloved and well-respected State Senator, who was dedicated to representing the people of Whitley County, Indiana with an honest, down-to-earth approach to government. This competitive scholarship will be awarded annually to a senior graduating from any Whitley County High School who plans to attend college and pursue a career in public service representing the Republican Party, or to a student who plans a career within the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The recipient will be the individual who best emulates the ideals and personal character traits that Senator Wheeler embodied.

This scholarship will be awarded to a Columbia City High School student with at least 3 years of Spanish with a B+ average or higher. The student must be at least a three-year member in good standing of CCHS Spanish Club and show intent to further the study of Spanish at the collegiate level. Tammy Horne CCHS Soccer Scholarship Fund No application needed
This scholarship was established in memory of Tammy, an avid CCHS girls' soccer fan, by her family and friends. It will be awarded to a senior member of the girls' soccer team that was exemplary due to playing hard, playing smart, and playing as a team member. The senior must be planning on attending a college or university in pursuits of a 4-year degree.

It was established in 2014 to honor and reflect the life and influence that Tim Hearld, a coach, mentor, and friend, of many people in this community, had on those around him. The scholarship will be awarded to someone who reflects his values of hard work, giving back to the community, and being a good influence to those around them.

Tyler Andreas Memorial Football Scholarship (Application due before end of football season)
The Tyler Andreas Memorial Football Scholarship was established in 2011 by his friends and family as a means of paying tribute to Tyler and honoring his memory. A member of the Columbia City High School football team, Tyler possessed a remarkable work ethic and fully embraced Eagle Pride. He was as fearless on the football field as he was compassionate at home and in school. He had boundless dedication to his team and great love for his family and friends. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating member of the CCHS football team who best reflects Tyler’s values, work ethic and character.

This scholarship is open to any Whitley County senior with a GPA of at least 2.5 and in the top 75% of his/her class. The senior should be planning to attend a vocational school to receive an Associate’s Degree or equivalent certification.
